Friday faves

I used to write a weekend inspiration post each Friday, which I really enjoyed putting together so I’d quite like to bring that back. It’s nice to take a moment to reflect on my week and think about what I’ve been up to, what has inspired me or piqued my interest.

Unfortunately, this week I haven’t been up to much as I’ve had a horrible throat infection that has completely floored me. However, that has meant extra time on the sofa which always leads to a bit of online shopping for me – ha! So, I thought I would share some of things I have discovered this week and a few things that I am loving…

Friday faves | Apartment Apothecary

Firstly, I want to tell you about a great plant subscription that I have been trying out from Geo-Fleur. Subscribers receive a monthly surprise package of plants or plant related accessories (think ceramic pots, hanging planters, plant prints), which are perfect if you are trying to build up your own plant collection or make unique gifts for friends. Each package comes beautifully wrapped and presented and the plants arrive perfectly in tact with instructions for how to care for them. You should definitely check it out.

I have been getting back into Instagram this week after going off it during first trimester illness (scrolling through photos made me even more nauseous!) and I have been enjoying following Rebecca’s house renovations at @rvk_loves. Vintage pink sink unit, anybody? Err, YES!

Another thing I have been doing this week is testing out paint colours as I’ve been thinking about painting the woodwork in our office when it becomes a nursery. I am tempted by either Pigeon or Light Blue by Farrow & Ball so watch this space.

And finally, a few online purchases that have been calling to me this week. The long awaited Rifle Paper Co fabrics are now available to buy (I must do some sewing!) although how to choose between the designs is beyond me. I have also discovered Nordic style dog accessories – a combination of two of my favourite things. Otto will be treated to one of Kind For Dogs aesthetically pleasing dog beds (a very difficult thing to find) in the Autumn. Three other potential Autumn purchases are these Birkenstock sliders from Toast, a dusty pink sweater from Boden and a dove grey linen throw from Linen Works – I’m still loving this soft grey and pink colour palette for next season.

Hopefully, next week will be filled with some more exciting goings-on if I can shift this throat from hell.

Have a lovely weekend, all!

Katy x

P.S. Don’t forget to enter this fab giveaway I launched this week to win £150 to spend on lighting from Houseology.

I love these type of posts as I don’t really have time to surf the web to find cool stuff so thanks for doing it for me! I want all of this too, like Julieta 🙂
